The Albany Centre

The Centre of Excellence in Natural Resource Management (CENRM) has a comprehensive range of vehicles, field and laboratory equipment.

The Centre also have an extensive reference collection of voucher specimens and photographic records of south-western Australian macro-invertebrate fauna.

The UWA Albany Sciences Building was completed in mid 2012. The facility provides CENRM with expanded research and teaching laboratories. The building has the capacity to teach classes of up to 30 students and laboratory space for at least ten staff and postgraduate students.

Laboratories and teaching spaces
We have state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratory spaces. Our laboratories and teaching spaces have facilities for processing of samples, microscopy and microphotography.
Field equipment and fieldwork
Our field equipment includes research vessels, an electrofishing unit, and a wide range of netting, trapping and sorting equipment.
The Centre has two fully-equipped four-wheel drive vehicles and one two-wheel drive vehicle for use by staff and students.
