Implementation of a research and development plan for Casurina obesa

Chief Investigator

The project is investigating the viability of this salt-tolerant species as a potential tree crop for land affected by secondary salinisation and waterlogging.

Specifically, the project is investigating the potential for commercial plantations to provide protection of land and biodiversity assets in addition to forest products such as solid wood products, biomass feedstock and carbon sequestration.
